CONGRATS Goodreads Winners!

31 Mar

Sorry for the radio silence everyone. A couple of weeks ago, my beloved and very old laptop decided it was time to die. Again. It was touch and go there for a while, but I have it propped up on its last leg once again. Here’s hoping for at least another four months!

Having my computer back in working order feels incredible. I don’t have to write by hand anymore or squint to read my email on a smartphone. More importantly, I can post to the blog, because I am dying to announce the winners of the book giveaway. So, here goes…

Congratulations to Merredith, Angela, Jen, Sarah, and Ashley! I am mailing your copies of Shapeshifting For The Win this Saturday.

And a big thank you to the 665 people at Goodreads who expressed interest and entered the contest. I wish I had enough books to give each of you one. Hopefully, you will get the book for yourself to enjoy. Brianna and Connor are a blast. I promise. 🙂

Show & Tell Time!

24 Feb

Now premiering the cover of SHAPESHIFTING FOR THE WIN!

I absolutely love the whole idea of Brianna painting her claws and seeing it come to life is amazing. I feel that much closer to holding the completed product in my hands. And yes, the high-res image of my cover is totally set as my desktop background.

Official Release Date!

31 Jan

We expected Shapeshifting FTW would release sometime this fall, but not so much. Instead, the people over at Jupiter Gardens Press decided to give me a rockin birthday present this year… MY BOOK IN PRINT! The official release date is March 17th, only two days after my birthday.

Yes, I am aware I was born on the Ides of March. Insert Julius Caesar jokes here.

Shapeshifting FTW is currently available for pre-order on Jupiter Garden’s website! Click here to pre-order the paperback (15% off at the moment) or here for the e-reader version.

Mmmm… I can almost small that new book smell. When my copies arrive in the mail, I hope no one is home that day. I don’t want anyone to witness me sniffing them or squealing like a 12-year-old girl at a Justin Bieber concert. Knowing my luck, one of my roomies will lay in wait with nefarious plans to post my shame on YouTube.

Exciting things in my recently exciting world…

14 Sep

Not that my life wasn’t a whirlwind of excitement before – but, let me tell you, everything is fresh and new-book-smelling! So, here are things I can share with you at the moment:

  1. As of an hour ago, the website for Shapeshifting FTW is up and running. Go check it out and don’t forget to hit the LIKE button.
  2. I have an account on Facebook now. I’m lonely, so please friend me.
  3. My totally awesome and super supportive roommates got me an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen to celebrate. They’re the best.
  4. Last, but definitely not least, the book will come out late 2011!

I promise to eventually stop talking about the book all the time, but right now that’s really hard. Especially since I start randomly giggling about it at strange moments. Example:

This morning I went to the post office to mail my signed contracts to Jupiter Gardens. The line was long and horrendous, complete with a creepy old man giving me the hairy eyeball. The appropriate response when faced with tedium and unpleasantness is to get upset and stomp my foot.

Did I?

Absolutely not. I giggled like a little school girl, because I kept thinking about what the stack of papers in my hand meant.

Today is the Rockingest!

13 Sep

Is it because I have a totally awesome new blog? Partially. Or maybe because I have a batch of chocolate chip cookies in the oven and they smell fantastic? Definitely a perk, but not what makes today so awesome. No, gentle readers, today is the rockingest due completely to the fact that I signed a contract with Jupiter Gardens Press, selling my first book, Shapeshifting ForTheWin, which I co-authored with the fantastic Ellie Greene.

And now I must leave you so that I may continue squeeeing and pull cookies out of the oven. Don’t worry, more details will follow!
